“Growing up in a household with five siblings, I found tremendous guidance in my grandparents, particularly my grandfather. His unwavering support and patience shaped my character profoundly, and I looked up to him immensely.
When I embarked on the journey of starting my own construction company, I wanted to honor my family’s legacy. My grandfather held a special place in my heart, so I decided to name the company after him. His own story, growing up in a large family of eleven siblings and overcoming early challenges, resonated deeply with me.
My grandfather’s educational journey, from Hershey School to Milton Hershey School, left a lasting impression on me. Graduating in the class of ’56, he became known as “Dave from ’56” in the Hershey circles. To pay homage to him, I decided to brand my company as D56 Construction, incorporating the handwritten “56” from him.”

Dane Fahnestock is a seasoned professional in the construction industry, currently serving as the owner of D56 Construction. With a rich and diverse background, he brings nearly 20 years of experience to the table to your next residential or commercial construction project.
Dane’s journey in construction leadership began in the early 2000s at Trinity Construction Group, LLC. Starting as a Project Manager and Estimator, Dane quickly rose through the ranks, showcasing his expertise in on-site job supervision, sub-contractor scheduling, material deliveries, inspection, and codes compliance. His exceptional skills led to his promotion as the VP of Construction/Construction Management, where he took on additional responsibilities in estimating, project management, account management, and operations management.
Following his success at Trinity Construction Group, Dane joined C&Z Construction, where he continued to excel in overseeing the entirety of operations for the company. During his tenure at C&Z, Dane oversaw all aspects of hundreds of large loss fire loss claims annually while increasing revenue year over year.
In the Spring of 2020, Dane took on the role of Director of Construction at Integrity First Home Buyers. During his time working directly with Owner and Founder Eric Brewer, he managed all facets of construction remodels and new construction builds in residential real estate, further solidifying his reputation as a reliable and accomplished professional in the construction industry.
Since his time at Integrity, Dane has been a consultant in the construction space where he has helped scale numerous operations, as well leading his own construction projects and remodels.
With a proven track record of leadership and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, Dane Fahnestock continues to drive success as the owner of D56 Construction, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to every project undertaken by the company.
Elisha serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Integrator of D56 Construction, bringing over 15 years of executive leadership experience across code administration, construction, cybersecurity, hospitality, and real estate industries. Throughout her career, Elisha has consistently delivered measurable results through strategic process optimization, team development, and financial management.
Elisha specializes in building scalable operations and high-performing teams. With experience managing operations exceeding $20M annually, she has a proven track record of reducing operational costs while improving service delivery and growing revenue. Her expertise includes implementing comprehensive business frameworks—from policy development and financial controls to HR infrastructure and performance management systems—while developing and supporting teams that drive organizational success.
At D56 Construction, Elisha works with Dane to transform his vision into reality. She leads the company’s operational transformation, from systematizing business processes and building internal infrastructure to redesigning contracts and establishing financial controls. Elisha brings structure, scalability, and a focus on team excellence to every aspect of the business, setting D56 up for sustainable growth and exceptional results.
Ken serves as the Project Manager of D56 Construction, bringing extensive construction and project management experience across residential, commercial, and complex renovation projects.
Ken’s passion for building started young—constructing tree forts along the creek on his family’s farm using barn scraps and whatever materials he could find. By age 14, that childhood fascination had turned into real experience, spending his summer breaks framing houses and learning the trade from the ground up.
As a student at York County School of Technology’s Carpentry program, Ken didn’t just learn the craft—he excelled at it. He competed in carpentry competitions from districts all the way to nationals, taking his class further than it had ever gone before and proving his dedication to precision and excellence early on.
Since then, Ken has built a career managing projects ranging from $100K to $12 million, always maintaining his commitment to craftsmanship and hands-on leadership. He’s worked across residential, commercial, and complex renovation projects, developing the skills to lead teams, solve problems on the fly, and deliver exceptional results. Now, as Project Manager at D56, Ken serves as the central point of contact for clients, coordinating all aspects of construction from initial planning through final completion. He mentors younger tradesmen, ensures every project reflects precision and integrity, and brings the same passion he had building tree forts as a kid to every job site.
Joshua serves as the Project Estimator of D56 Construction, bringing diverse construction experience spanning electrical work, project management, and emergency restoration across military, entertainment, and commercial sectors.
His career began as an electrician with the U.S. Navy, where he developed a strong technical foundation and continued as a government contractor providing electrical services for Navy facilities. He transitioned to project management at Hershey Entertainment and Resorts, overseeing maintenance and upgrades to amusement park rides and buildings while managing new construction projects in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Joshua also built extensive experience in emergency restoration as Project Manager for properties affected by fire, water, vehicle impact, and storm damage—requiring rapid response and strategic coordination under tight timelines.
At D56 Construction, Joshua focuses on commercial restaurant renovations as Project Estimator/Manager, developing detailed scopes of work, construction budgets, and comprehensive project documentation. His hands-on technical skills combined with strategic project management expertise make him an invaluable asset to our team.
Kate serves as the Executive Assistant of D56 Construction, bringing over nine years of executive assistant experience across various industries. She has been a key team member at D56 since 2023.
At D56, Kate manages the company’s social media presence, creating content and designs that showcase our work across multiple platforms. She provides critical support to the team on diverse projects—from marketing initiatives and event coordination to operational tasks and regulatory compliance—ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and seamless communication across all departments.
Her versatility allows her to navigate everything from construction project coordination support to business development support with professionalism and efficiency.
Ross serves as the Fractional CMO of D56 Construction, bringing 15+ years of experience operating at the intersection of marketing strategy, revenue growth, and leadership for founder-led, growth-stage businesses.
As the Founder and Principal of Thunder Stock Marketing, a fractional CMO consultancy, Ross has deep experience building and scaling marketing systems for service-based businesses—particularly in construction, real estate, professional services, and B2B sectors. He specializes in go-to-market strategy, demand generation, and positioning, with proven success working inside EOS-run organizations to align marketing with Vision, Traction, and Rocks.
At D56, Ross provides strategic direction across construction, restoration, and development initiatives. He partners closely with ownership and leadership to ensure marketing supports both capacity and culture, helping D56 scale its owner-led, high-touch reputation with systems, accountability, and measurable growth.
Kathryn serves as Project Coordinator at D56 Construction, bringing over five years of experience supporting complex, multi-phase projects from initial planning through final completion. Her comprehensive understanding of the construction process allows her to anticipate challenges and keep projects moving forward seamlessly.
Kathryn specializes in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project schedules and budgets, and overseeing subcontractor and vendor relationships. Her expertise extends to payroll coordination, cost tracking, change order management, and operational workflow design. She maintains clear communication between internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring everyone stays aligned with project goals, timelines, and scope.

Jonathan serves as the Carpenter of D56 Construction, bringing over 20 years of construction services and management experience to the team since joining in 2023.
His extensive background spans multiple facets of the construction industry, including HVAC systems where he holds refrigerant certification, giving him a comprehensive understanding of how all building systems work together.
